  • Gary Short

    I hang out here

Gary Short [MVP C#] joined the army upon leaving school and was put on stores duty, where he was responsible for handing out the camouflage paint for trucks and tanks. As the distinctive patterned paint only came it two sizes, small for trucks and large for tanks, he soon grew tired of this work and became a hit man for Chipperfield's Circus. His mission was to track down competing circuses around the world and to kill them. This was very dangerous work as it is hard to kill a Circus, the best way being to always go for the juggler. Seeing there was no future in this Gary then drifted into programming where he pretends to know a lot about Patterns & Practices and he intends to stay in this profession until found out.

Psst.. Want to see a Pattern ?

  • Dave Sussman

Dave Sussman is an independent trainer, consultant and writer, who inhabits that strange place called beta land. He spends most of his time as an author, having written over 40 programming books and still can't work out why his royalty statements always seem to be negative. When not writing books or playing with testing alpha and beta software Dave can be found training for DevTrain or working with a variety of clients helping to bring ASP.NET projects into fruition. He is a Microsoft MVP, a member of the ASP Insiders and INETA Speakers Bureau. He has an expensive hifi, two guitars, a love of Malt Whisky and no social life. • Phil Winstanley

Phil, far from having mastered space and time still finds himself in need of things with which to be distracted. One of those rewarding activities is ASP.NET development.

As a developer, author, blogger and speaker specialising in ASP.NET Development (you know, the one with the <asp:AngleBrackets />) Phil’s experience has focused on building huge unwieldy systems for Enterprises and Blue Chips across the globe and in that time he’s learnt the hard way how to code ASP.NET in a highly effective and defensive manner.

Microsoft have awarded Phil with the MVP award for the past seven years and he’s also a member of the ASP Insiders, a working group which consults directly with the ASP.NET team.
